The Chief Justice Georgina Wood has been petitioned to issue a fiat that will allow the oral examination of embattled businessman Alfred Woyome to be telecast live.

Richard Asante Yeboah – the petitioner – believes the live broadcast of the expected showdown between former Attorney General Martin Amidu and Woyome will enhance public confidence in the judiciary.

According to him, it will also ensure that due processes are followed “and whatever is owed Ghanaians is paid promptly.”

Mr. Yeboah said transparency is highly guaranteed once the case is telecast live and thus
“further update the good people of Ghana on how our Tax-cedi was expended in this Woyome debacle.”

Mr. Yeboah noted the move “would equally end the usual media spin that characterizes court room reporting and throw more light on the matter especially the incessant tantrums and accusations of Mr. Alfred Agbesi Woyome to the effect that the apex court of the land, the Supreme Court has sidestepped the constitution and has rather chosen to persecute him.”
