President John Mahama has reacted to rumours that he spent the last Christmas in Dubai but has chosen to celebrate this year’s in Bole because he lost power.

Since the President visited his hometown for this year’s Christmas festivities Sunday,  many have suggested on social media platforms that the outgoing leader has chosen a humble place for the occasion because he is out of power and needs a place to feel belonged.

But in a tweet, Mr Mahama responded to a critic by saying : “ ..a year ago today, President Mahama was in Bole and not Dubai”.
