Nigeria-based Ghanaian goalkeeper Fatau Dauda has replaced Adam Kwarasey in the Black Stars squad for the African Cup of Nations in Gabon.

The decision was taken by Avram Grant in consultation with Black Stars goalkeeper’s trainer, Yakubu Nasamu following Kwarasey’s reported injury.

Dauda is expected to arrive in Dubai later today and join the team’s preparation ahead of the Cup of Nations tournament.

The experience custodian could not make the Black Stars provisional 26-man list named by head Coach Avram Grant on Monday at a press conference in Accra.

The 30-year-old will thus be making his third Cup of Nations appearance with the Black Stars having represented Ghana at the 2012 and 2013 editions.

Meanwhile, Grant is expected to name his final 23-man squad by the close of today.
