The Zimbabwe national team, the Warriors – registered a one-all draw with Cameroon in an international friendly played at Stade Omnisport Ahmadou Ahidjo in Yaounde on Tuesday.
Orlando Pirates striker Tendai Ndoro broke the deadlock when he gave the Warriors a 14th minute lead.
The fast center forward could have made it two 8 minutes later but was denied by the offside flag.
Cameroon recovered in the 26th minute, scoring a penalty through Benjamin Moukandjo.
Second half saw Callisto Pasuwa make a number of changes. Ndoro was replaced by Knowledge Musona, while Khama Billiat, Oscar Machapa, Matthew Rusike and Nyasha Mushekwi were introduced as the half progressed.
Cameroon seized the upper hand pinning down the the Warriors defence with a number of attacks.
Tatenda Mukuruva was forced into a number of key saves and Cameroon edged closer but got denied by post in the 78th minute.
In the 93rd minute Zimbabwe should have taken the lead and the match when Musona made a good run before laying off the ball to Nyasha Mushekwi who only needed to direct the ball goal wards but somehow sent it wide, much to the shock of both teams.
Zimbabwe is in Group B with Algeria,Tunisia and Senegal.
