Twenty-three members of the Black Queens have each received $13,000 from the Sports Ministry as part payment of their outstanding winning bonuses over a period of six years.

A total amount of $25,000 over the six years period includes qualifiers from the 2011 All Africa Games, World Cup and Nations Cup.

The Sports Ministry on Thursday settled part of the amount after the national team players had protested at the offices of the ministry a week ago.

However, the national team ladies are still owed $12,000 and it is believed the amount will be settled in the coming days before the new government fully takes over.
