A 40-year-old man is in the grips of the Assin Fosu police for allegedly stabbing his girlfriend to death at Assin Juaso in the Central region.
Agya Owusu is said to have been angered by a visit by the lady’s former boyfriend to their home.
The jealous man who did not take kindly to the visit, suspecting some kind of amorous affair between the two, stabbed the lady leading to her death after she was rushed to the Francis Xavier Hospital at Assin Fosu.
Reports say the three, the suspect, victim and the former boyfriend shared a drink upon his visit at a nearby drinking spot before he committed the heinous crime.
According to eyewitnesses, he stabbed the victim after she had gone to see off her ex-boyfriend.
The two were cohabiting even though they are not married.
The Police have taken charge of the incident.
