The acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), David Asante Apeatu has made his first changes in the Police Service after he was appointed by President Akufo-Addo on Wednesday.

In his first shake-up in the Police Service, Director-General of the CID, COP Prosper Agblor, has been moved to head the Special Duties Department as the Director General, and his Deputy, ACP Dennis Ako-Dem, has also been moved to the Special Duties Department.

DCOP Bright Oduro, who is the Director General/Welfare, is now the Director General of the CID.

ACP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo Danquah, who headed the Police Intelligence and Professional Standards (PIPS) has now been appointed second in command at the CID.

A statement sighted by Starrfmonline.com stated that Supt. Paul Sampson Kontomah of the Crimes Unit for the Central region has been moved to the CID Headquarters in Accra.

Supt. Eric Ken Wilful who is with the National Headquarters in Accra has been moved to Projects in Accra.

Supt. Benjamin Affisah of the National headquarters has been moved to the CID headquarters, Accra. Also Supt. Mrs. Alex Awarikaro of DOVVSU Ministries, Ashanti region has been moved to DOVVSU CID headquarters.

In further changes, Supt. Philip Kweku Atisisa of the CID headquarters in Accra has been to Protocol headquarters, Accra.

DSP Mrs. Sophia Eva Ennin of the Court unit in Ashanti region has to DOVVSU in Madina, Accra. DSP Solomon Korli, the secretary to the IGP in Accra has been moved to the National Legal headquarters of the Police Service.

DSP Yao Dzansi of the Crimes Suhum District in the Eastern region, has been moved to the Crimes division of Dormaa Ahenkro in the Brong Ahafo region.
