Obour

Hip life artiste, Kwaw Kese, has said he does not recognise  Bice Osei Kuffour (Obour) as president of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA).

According to the controversial rapper, Obour is a disappointment to all musicians, adding that since he assumed office, he has never taken any relevant decision to the benefit of musicians.

“Seeing my brother occupying such position I thought we were going to have something good from Obour but he has disappointed us. To me, I don’t see Obour as my president… Obour’s term in office has been so bad,” Kwaw Kese told Hitz FM, adding even the physical structure of the MUSIGA office has been left to rot.

He further noted that: “Obour has never painted the place, doors are [rusty] and he has rented the place out to a church but we thought he was going to maintain the place.’’

Obour has come under a series of backlash from some colleague musicians who expressed dissatisfaction with his tenure as MUSIGA president. The dancehall act in a series of tweets during the latter part of last year shared his disappointment with his reign.

Shatta Wale tweeted:

“Ok obuor is about to go. Musicians are fed up. Obuor is not competent to be our Musigha president. Musicians getting sick and can’t pay their bills. Obuor is a disappointment to the youth. No musician should lie about this , we are suffering. Obuor is big gold digger in our music industry. Musicians are crying. Obuor has taking too much of musicians in Ghana”.
