Accra-based leading Savings and Loans company Express Capital has donated 100, 000 cedis to the Ghana @ 60 Committee.

The donation forms part of the company’s contribution towards the year-long celebrations, which starts first week of march. The exercise was held at the Independence Square in Accra when the Committee held a news conference.

Chief Executive Officer of Express Capital, Ben Adu-Owusu, who was joined by other members of the company, told this reporter that they decided to support the celebrations because as a socially responsible entity, it was the right thing to do.

He added that the company was committed to contributing its quota to the development of Ghana.

Express Capital is a wholly-owned Ghanaian microfinance institution incorporated on 19th June 2012. It is licensed by the Bank of Ghana to operate a Tier II microfinance business. The Company’s business is to provide microfinance services to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), traders and market women, salaried workers and the self-employed.

Express Capital started with a team of 3 people and within a period of four years has grew to reach a staff strength of about two hundred (200) employees.

Under Adu-Owusu’s leadership, the company has seen tremendous growth.
