President Akufo-Addo has revealed it will cost the country GHC20 million to organize the impending Ghana@60 celebrations.
Government is however relying on corporate bodies and philanthropists to raise the amount.
The President who announced this during the unveiling of the the Ghana at 60 celebration logo Thursday, emphasized that the celebration will not be funded by the national purse.
“I hoping that individual Ghanaians, Ghanaian private sector and Corporate Ghana in particular, will provide the funds for this anniversary and my ambition is to commemorate the anniversary with a minimum or no burden at all on the national treasury”.
Chairman of the Ghana at sixty planning Committee, Ken Amankwah called on cooperate Ghana to generously provide the needed funds for the celebration.
