President Akufo-Addo has hinted that his government will initiate a strong program to revive AngloGold Ashanti to become a viable institution again.

Addressing the chiefs and Members of Parliament for the Adansi Traditional Area who called on him at the Flagstaff House, the President said he intends to secure strong business partners who will join hands with AngloGold to make it even more viable organization than it is currently.

“Just like we promised during our campaign, we will ensure that all that the Mahama-led administration was unable to finish, my government will work hard to ensure things go well with AngloGold economically for the good of all. We will also need your support so Ghanaians can benefit from the good of the land,” he said.

Adansihene Opagyakotwere Bonsra Afriyie II on his part said the people of Adansi are looking forward to the fulfilment of the President’s promise to revive AngloGold because of the potential jobs that will be created for them.
