Former Black Stars defender Samuel Osei Kuffour has lost his mother, Gloria Abena Ateah, after a short illness.
Madam Abena Atteah reportedly died Friday evening in Ghana’s second biggest city, Kumasi.
The former Bayern Munich legend who is now a pundit on Super Sports in South Africa was informed of the news Friday evening after doctors who were treating her lost control of the situation.
Madam Abena Ateah is credited with the remarkable story of selling her television just to ensure that Kuffour attained his desire of becoming a footballer.
