Newly-elected President of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC), Ben Nunoo-Mensah, has given the assurance that his administration will team up with all sports journalists to create a transparent and accountable GOC.

The Weightlifting Federation President has vowed not discriminate against any member of the sports fraternity especially those being alleged to in the camp of his predecessor, Prof. Francis Dodoo, but will rather  engage every individual who wishes Ghana Sports well.

“I promise you principled, selfless, fair and firm leadership for all sports, a leader who will humbly serve you and not lord over you. A leader who will respect you as well as your views and contributions to the success of Ghana Sports especially all media men”, he told the Starr Sports team.

Nunoo Mensah had 33 votes with Dodoo getting 28 votes of the total beating the former Olympian by just five votes and his term office ends in 2021.
