The 13 members of the vigilante group, Delta Force, who were illegally freed by their compatriots in a Kumasi court last week are going back to the court room today, Tuesday April 11, 2017.

The IGP has hinted fresh charges will be leveled against the suspects, who are affiliated with the ruling New Patriotic Party.

The group invaded the court and freed their colleagues who were facing charges for allegedly assaulting the Ashanti regional security coordinator.

Eight other members of the group who aided their release from the court room were remanded into Police custody by the Kumasi Circuit court on Monday, amidst heavy security presence at the court.

Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo in his first public comment on the matter said “systemic” measures have been put in place to stem the menace of vigilantism in the country.
