The son of former heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield may face a one-game suspension from the University of Georgia’s football team after his arrest on misdemeanor marijuana charges, Daily Mail reports.

Sophomore running back Elijah Holyfield, 20, was charged on Monday with possession of marijuana of less than an ounce and possession and use of drug related objects, according to an online booking report from the Athens-Clarke County Jail.

He was arrested by university police and released on bond less than an hour later. Elijah Holyfield is one of 11 of Evander Holyfield’s children.

Holyfield’s total bond was set for both charges at $3,050, according to the Athens-Clarke County Magistrate Court.

After posting the bond, the 5-foot-10-inch, 200-pound athlete was later released.

Coach Kirby Smart is aware of the arrest, a team spokesperson said.

Under Georgia’s drug and alcohol policy, an athlete will be suspended for one game for being a first-time code of conduct violation of being arrested on a marijuana charge, according to ESPN.
