Lancaster University Ghana (LUG) has been accredited by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).

According to Lancaster, the development means that exemptions have been awarded by CIMA to all graduates of LUG BSc (Hons) Accounting and Finance (2015-2018) course, which is identical to the one being studied at Lancaster University UK.

Many of the modules studied for an Accounting and Finance degree at LUG will “help our graduates gain exemptions from certain exams at the CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting level, CIMA Operational level and CIMA Management level.

“This means that for graduates who aim to study towards becoming Chartered Accountants while working, they will have far fewer exams which will therefore give them more time to focus on developing their expertise at work,” the school authorities said.

At Lancaster University Ghana, “our degrees give our students far more than just exemptions from professional exams. Our students develop a broader understanding of business and are able to choose options which help increase their knowledge and achieve their long-term career goals.”
