MP for Agona East constituency in the Central region, Queenstar Maame Pokuah Sawyerr, has once again fulfilled her promise of continuously helping students, especially Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates, in her constituency.

The immediate-past Deputy Central Regional Minister donated educational materials such as sets of mathematical instruments to all the candidates who sat for the just-ended BECE in the constituency.

Ms Pokuah Sawyerr, in addition to the educational materials, provided free meals to all the candidates and their teachers, who numbered about 267 throughout the week-long examination, which began on Monday, June 5 to Friday, June 9.

The total number of candidates who wrote this year’s examination in the Agona East Constituency was 1,983 and they all benefited from the MP’s generosity.

She visited the candidates at all the examination centres located at Kwanyarko, Swedru, Nsaba Senior High Schools, Mankrong Junction District Assembly School and Asafo, and took time to serve them specially prepared meals.

After their last paper on Friday, the candidates were transported to the residence of the MP, popularly called Obaatampa by the constituents, where she again treated them to good music, sound counselling and sumptuous meals to round up the week-long academic exercise.

She later facilitated the transportation of all the 1,983 candidates and their teachers to their respective abodes.
