An award-winning NGO, Sangy Foundation, has together with the Assemblies of God Liberty Centre-Sunyani (AGL – Sunyani) and the Professional Christian Women’s Network (PCWN) given a face lift to the Autism Awareness Care and Training Center in Accra.

Sangy Foundation’s special volunteers known as the Glam Squad undertake painting of the whole campus on June 17. The Autism Awareness Center caters for children living with Autism in Ghana.

The Center which boasts of being one of the few autism centers in Ghana was founded by Mrs. Serwah Quaynor in response to the lack of an autism school to enroll her autistic son upon her return to Ghana.

In her remarks, the Vice President of Sangy Foundation, Mrs. Sara Nana Yeboah stated that “I am excited at the turnout and result of today’s activities which is aimed at giving a renewed look to the school. I can only hope it would serve as an inspiration to other parents to enroll their children with special needs at the center in order to receive the treatment and care they deserve”.

She also used the opportunity to appreciate Assemblies of God Liberty Center in Sunyani, Professional Christian Women’s Network and Sesil Consult Ltd who came on board to support the center and urged them to also assist in funding and other kind gestures.

The Sangy Foundation engages in various charity activities in the country and has impacted lives of more than 50,000 individuals since its inception in 2013. Its worthy activities have gained recognition throughout Africa and has won several awards.
