The former MD of the Bulk Oil Storage and Transport (BOST), Kingsley Kwame Awuah-Darko, has sued the MP for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong for making “defamatory” comments against him.

Also, he sued Multimedia’s Asempa FM plus Kennedy Agyapong’s Oman FM for being the channels used for the said defamatory remarks.

According to Mr. Awuah-Darko, the Assin Central MP’s defamatory words were uttered “recklessly” without verification.

He is therefore praying the court to compel them to render an unqualified apology within 14 days and also pay a sum of GHS5million to him in general damages.

Senyo Hosi’s suit

Also, the  CEO of the Chamber of Bulk Oil Distributors (CBOD), Senyo Hosi, sued the maverick MP for defaming him as well.

He also joined Agyapong’s media house Kencity Media Limited and the Deputy Executive Director of the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC), Afia Akoto in the suit, arguing their comments have “gravely injured” his reputation.

Mr. Hosi is suing for Gh¢9 million – GHc 5 million from Agyapong, GHc3 million from Kencity and GHc1 million from Afia Akoto.

Mr. Hosi gave the MP a 24-hour ultimatum to apologise and retract allegations of corruption and bribery against him, but failed to comply.
