Niger defeated Benin 2-1 in the third and fourth play-off match to win bronze at the 2017 WAFU Cup of Nations.

Halidou Garba Idrissa scored Niger’s first when he tapped in from the 6 yard box after the defense of Benin failed to deal with a ball in the box.

Victorien Sakou Soulamane got the second goal for Niger with an easy finish after Benin goalkeeper Glodjinon Steve had been beaten in the post.

Yarou Nabil pulled a goal back for Benin late in the game by heading in from a rebound.
