A former goalkeeper of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Soulama Abdoulaye died in his home country Burkina Faso Friday aged 38.

Soulama, who also had a stint with Kotoko’s arch-rivals Accra Hearts of Oak in the domestic league, will be buried today, Saturday October 28, 2017 in accordance with Islamic tenets.

According to Burkina24, the shot-stopper was battling a long ailment. He will be buried in his hometown Banfora.

Soulama, who spent most part of his footballing career in Ghana having captained the Porcupine Warriors, was also in the post for the Burkina Faso national football team the Stallions.

He was born on November 29, 1979.
