Former Finance Minister, Seth Terkper, has categorically debunked as erroneous assertions that he is at loggerheads with Koku Anyidoho, following the latter’s scathing criticism of him during his stay in office.
Mr. Terkper incurred the wrath of Mr. Anyidoho when he [Terkper] mooted and justified the introduction of some new taxes during the run-up to the 2016 general elections.
Enraged by the move, Mr. Anyidoho accused the former Finance Minister of working towards sending the ruling NDC then to opposition.
“No individual minister will walk us into opposition. No individual minister will walk us into opposition, it will not happen, it cannot happen,” an exasperated Anyidoho told Montie FM.
But speaking Thursday on Morning Starr, Mr. Terkper stated that incident had not marred his relationship with the fiery Deputy General Secretary of the main opposition party.
“Koku [Anyidoho] is a good friend…people don’t realise that Koku is a very, very good friend of mine. We go back a long way,” he told Morning Starr host Francis Abban.
