Ghana has set aside today, December 1 to honour farmers of all categories for the role they play to sustain the country.
The Day since time immemorial is observed as a holiday where outstanding farmers and fishermen are rewarded for their hard work by the state.
Today’s occasion will be marked in Kumasi in the Ashanti region under the theme ‘Farming for Food and Jobs’.
Farmers play a key role in the economic development of the Ghana.
