Kakraba Sunday Stars and Dansoman Liberty Professionals will treat their beloved supporters in Kasoa Kakraba to a friendly game in honour of Gomoa East MP, Honorable Kojo Asemanyi at the Zion School Park on Sunday, 10th March.

According to the organizers both teams have agreed to play the match to pay homage to the young vibrant legislature and as part of Ghana’s 62 independence celebrations.

Hon. Asemanyi, who is currently the deputy chairman of Parliamentary Select Committee on Sports and he is  bent on forming a formidable team to start playing in the lower leagues if football bounces back in the country.

He has also promised to make sure good football talents in his constituency land in Europe when the opportunity comes.

“Football is a big thing and most of the youth in my constituency are professional footballers and so when we get them clubs in anywhere in the world they can take care of their families.

“I am happy a big club like Liberty is coming to my constituency to honour me with a friendly, I hope other clubs, like Hearts, Kotoko will also be invited one day to play my team to build their confidence, ”he told Starr FM.

Kakraba Sunday Stars is currently being coached by former Liberty/Hearts/U-23 captain, Bawa Mumuni and assisted by former Kotoko defender Charles Boateng.

Kakraba Sunday Stars are the defending Champions of this year’s Kasoa Soccer Fiesta.
