The Amegashie Conference Hall of the University of Ghana Business School will on Wednesday host the 3rd June 4 Anniversary Lecture as part of activities marking the 40th anniversary of the June 4 uprising.

Renowned management expert Professor Bright K. Aheto, immediate past Dean of the School of Business at the Central University College and a former Deputy Rector of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) will deliver the lecture which commences at 2pm.

In attendance will be the leader of the uprising, Flt Lt Jerry John Rawlings and other leading cadres of the uprising.

Prof Aheto will speak on the theme of the celebrations – Developing a national character for sustainable good governance.  After the lecture, a high-level panel comprising Brigadier General Nunoo Mensah, Prof Joshua Alabi, Prof John Gatsi and Goosie Tanoh will deliberate on the substance of the lecture.

The lecture which is expected to be attended by cadres and sympathisers of the revolution is open to the public.

Activities marking the 40th anniversary of the uprising kicked off on Saturday with a tree-planting exercise on the Tetteh-Quarshie – Legon road.

The celebrations will climax on Tuesday June 4, 2019 when Flt Lt Rawlings and other leading members of the uprising and the 31st December Revolution, address a durbar at the Nungua Traditional Authority Park. The celebrations will start at 8am with a parade by

young cadres followed by the lighting of the perpetual flame before the traditional address by the leader of the uprising.
