Police in Tamale have arrested two more trucks carrying containers of rosewood lumbers.

The trucks are currently detained at the regional police headquarters after they were intercepted coming from Tumu, in the upper west region.

Police, for now, are tight-lipped over the arrest, but promise to brief the media on Wednesday, May 15.

However, Starr News sources have said the consignment belongs to a Chinese man called Mr. Hu.

Mr. Hu is said to have business links with Helen Huang, the Chinese suspect arrested last week but currently on the run for similar offence.

Meanwhile, the man who stood surety for Helen Huang has been released from police custody after he met his bail conditions today.

Mohammed Bondirgbum guaranteed the release of Helen Huang who was arrested for transporting truckloads of the banned forestry products.

But after her released, the Chinese woman absconded and Mohammed was dragged to court to produce her.

After a judge granted him bail, he could not satisfied the conditions and was kept into police custody.
