As part of pacesetting efforts for digital banking innovation in Africa, Access Bank has partnered the International Centre for Strategic Alliances (ICSA) to organise a two-day Digital Banking Summit at the Kempinski Gold Coast City Hotel from Monday August 19 to August 20, 2019.
The Summit will bring together Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) business executives from seventeen (17) countries across the globe to discuss cutting edge digital solutions and develop a robust digital banking ecology under the theme, “Digitization of Banking Sector – En Route to a Cashless Africa”.
Commenting on the Summit which features Access Bank as the official Banking Partner, the Group Managing Director of Access Bank, Mr. Herbert Wigwe said the modern age of business presents an undeniable correlation between digital innovation and customer satisfaction and hence, the need to take advantage of avenues that highlight inherent opportunities in the digital banking space.
He further reiterated, “As a leading sustainable Bank in Africa, our digital footprints continue to expand in our quest to delight our customers at all times. We are therefore always elated to embrace opportunities to discuss ways to continuously push the digital banking agenda forward, not only in Africa but across the entire globe. That is the “tomorrow” we are taking”.
On his part, the Managing Director of Access Bank Ghana, Mr Olumide Olatunji emphasized that recent significant developments in Ghana’s economic fortunes presented the right opportunities to harness more digital banking innovations.
He also took the opportunity to highlight Access Bank’s significant strides in the digital space with its hugely successful Mobile banking app, *901# and Payday Loan which enables customers to instantly access quick loans, adding that this will soon be extended to cover SME customers in Ghana.
The Summit will feature submissions from prominent speakers including the Executive Director at Access Bank Group, Mr Ade Bajomo, Head of IT Program Delivery at Access Bank Group, Mr Omo Osemwegie, CEO of First Access New York (USA), Nicole Van Der Tuin among others.
