As day 13 of the AFCON 2019  is a wrap, KingFut recess all the action, featuring Morocco, Benin and Senegal.

Round of 16 game 1:

The first game of the day ended with a huge surprise as Benin beat Morocco 4-1 on penalties.

Levadiakos defender Moise Adilehou opened the scoring in the 53rd minute after converting Soukou’s corner.

Leganes’ Youssed En-Nesyri then scored the equalizer just 15 minutes before the end of the game. In the 94th minute Morocco got the opportunity to win the game as they were awarded a penalty but Ajax star Hakim Ziyech hit the post.

Seven minutes into additional time Khaled Adenon received a second yellow card, forcing Benin to continue the game with just 10 men.

Finally, during the penalty shootouts both teams scored their first chances before both Boufal and En-Nesyri missed their penalties, gifting the Squirrels their first win of the tournament.

Round of 16 game 2:

Benin will be facing Senegal who narrowly beat Uganda 1-0 in their quest of lifting their first ever AFCON.

The only goal of the game came through Liverpool’s Sadio Mane just 15 minutes after kick-off.

They will face Benin in the quarterfinals on July 10 at 6pm local time in the 30 June Stadium in Cairo
