The number of suspects arrested in connection with the clashes at Dagomba Line in Kumasi in the Ashanti region has jumped from 18 to 110 while two persons have been confirmed.

The two aged 20 and 25 sustained wounds on their bodies during the violence on Thursday.

Persons involved in the clashes were seen firing gunshots while others held machetes.

A reinforcement team of police and military officers have been dispatched to the area as structures have been set ablaze by the feuding factions.

Some victims of the violence have sustained machete wounds.

Some residents have fled their homes over fears of losing their lives.

Earlier, it was reported that relative calm had returned to the area after seven people were injured in the initial clashes.
