The Governing Council of the Koforidua Technical University (KTU) has appointed the former Dean of School of Physical Sciences at the University of Cape Coast, Professor David Kofi Essumang as the new Vice Chancellor of the University.

Professor Essumang succeeds Prof (Mrs.) Smile Dzisi who has occupied the position since 2015 as first Female Rector of then Polytechnic.

She automatically became the Vice Chancellor after the Institution was upgraded into a Technical University but in 2018 assumed acting capacity as the Interim Vice-Chancellor.

The governing Council of KTU also announced other appointments made after a Special Meeting held on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 that, Mr. Ike Joe Nii Annang Mensah-Livingstone, the Interim Registrar has also been re-appointed as the Registrar.

Other appointments are, Mr. Godfried Kofi Boafo, Director of Finance and Mr. Michael Owusu Acheaw, the University Librarian.

The positions were advertised a couple of moths ago for interested persons to apply.
