Anxiety has gripped a family at Sakasakam, a farming community near Klo Agogo in the Yilo Krobo Municipality of the Eastern Region, over alleged abduction of a 15-year-old girl.
Bawa Gifty was allegedly abducted on July 2, 2019 at about 10pm by unknown revelers at a recently discovered Waterfalls in the community.
Some men in a car reportedly invited the victim together with her friends, who refused the invite, but the victim decided to go, sat in their car with suspects speeding off.
Since then, the family has not been able to locate the whereabouts of the victim despite efforts to locate her.
Joseph Angmor, spokesperson for the family told Starr News both parents of the victim were out of the community when the incident happened but upon their return the incident was belatedly reported to the Obawale Police under the jurisdiction of Asesewa District Police Command on July 8,2018
Police has since commenced investigations into the incident.
