Confusion has hit the Afram Plains South primaries of the NDC after former communications director of the party Solomon Nkansah was caught to be allegedly campaigning for the incumbent MP.

Mr. Nkansah sparked the anger of supporters of other candidates when he was deemed to be campaigning among delegates who are in queue to vote, Starr News’ Kojo Ansah reported.

The situation, which caused a temporary halt in the polls, has however been brought under control with the help of the police.

Meanwhile, two candidates in the Primaries  on Friday stepped down from the race.

Starr News has gathered the two, Bismark Ofosu Amponsah and Emmanuel Mbeebi, individually took the decision on personal grounds.

They have subsequently declared their support for competitor Mark Oliver Kevor, the immediate past Eastern Regional Secretary of the Party, tipped by political analysts to emerge winner.
