The Second deputy Speaker of Parliament Alban Kingsford Sumani Bagbin has taken a swipe at government for rejecting the critical recommendations of the Emile Short Commission’s report.

Government in its White paper rejected key recommendations of the commission including the part which recommended prosecution for the individual who assaulted the Ningo Prampram MP Sam George.

Speaking at the side line of a Parliamentary Press Corps workshop in Prampram, Alban Bagbin said the white paper is a slap in the face of the  Commission members.

The Nadowli Kaleo also accused government of playing to the political gallery with the recent arrest of some persons who they claim had planned to destabilised the country.

He said with the evidences made available, the arrest can only constitute an attempt to gain political advantage.

He further accused government of attempting to change the narrative .

He further noted the mass failure of the Ghana law students is an indictment on the lecturers, criticising  the Chief Justice describing her position on the mass production of lawyers as extreme conservatism.
