A group calling itself Movement for Nkoranzaman Development has expressed its gratitude to President Nana Akufo Addo for honoring his words by ensuring the siting of the newly created Bono East Regional Education Office in the Nkoranza South District.

The group at a Press conference held on Monday and addressed by its Secretary, Mensah Michael thanked the President for ensuring that the various institutions and agencies are evenly sited in the newly created region.

The group also commended Nana Awiti Adomako the Nfodwoasehene for donating 10 acres of land for the construction of the Regional Education Office and other facilities.

“We are eternally grateful to President Akufo Addo, the Bono East Regional Coordinating Council and the Regional Minister for ensuring that Nkoronza has its fair share of development in the newly created region. The President during the launch of the new region stated that the various public institutions that will be built will not be located in just one area and that it will be spread across the whole region. The siting of the Education Office is proof that in indeed the President is a man of his own words. We also single out our chief who values education so much for praise for his generous donation of a vast piece of land for the construction of the offices.”

Kwame Baffoe Agyei, News Editor of Akyaa FM told Morning show host of Ejura based Naagyei FM, Henry Lord that news of the siting of the Regional Education Office in Nkoranza has brought a lot of joy to the residents as they believe siting the office there will help improve the standard of education in the area which has gone down in the past few years.

Nkoranza boasts of a number of Senior High Schools including Kwabre SHS, Donkor Nkwanta Community Senior High School, Nkoranza SHS, Nkoranza Technical Institute, Osei Bonsu SHS [formally Yefriman SHS].

The area also hosts the Anglican University College of Technology[private institution].
