The Chief Executive Officer of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) Ing. Samuel Boakye-Appiah has been sacked from the post by government.

A letter announcing his removal asked him to handover to his Deputy Managing Director of ECG, Kwame Agyeman-Badu with immediate effect.

The development comes at a time the ECG has resumed full control of power distribution in the country following the failed concession arrangement with PDS.
