Bank of Africa on Saturday, December 14, 2019 sponsored yet another exciting edition of the Bok Nam Kim Golf Competition. The competition took place at the Bok Nam Kim Golf Course inside the Air Force Officers’ Mess – Burma Camp, Accra.

BANK OF AFRICA over the years has demonstrated its love for sports, and as part of the Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility, it has taken upon itself to sponsor sporting events. The Bank sponsored an earlier edition in May this year. Two of the Bank’s staff, Kobby Andah (the MD), and Youssef Benrhafiane (DMD) participated in the tournament.

In a speech given after the event, Mr. Andah commented on keeping fit and staying athletic especially as corporate workers. He also appreciated the organizers of the tournament for their continuous support and dedication towards the competition.

In the Men’s Category A, Francis Bannerman emerged the winner with a gross score of 77 points and a net score of 63 points. Anthony Kemetse won the Men’s category B scoring 81 points with a net of 58.
In the Women’s Category, Abena Ntrakwah Mansah performed incredibly and won the hearts of many who were present to witness the competition. Her 82 points gross and 59 points net with a handicap of 23 pushed her to win the category following Belinda Kumako and Hajia Zenabu Akotoh in second and third places respectively.

The Competition Secretary, Reid Wiles applauded all the golfers for taking time out of their busy schedules to participate in the competition. He also reinforced the need to promote Golf in the country and mentioned that the Bok Nam Kim Club was growing significantly with a number of foreign Ambassadors and other Diplomats who train at the Bok Nam Kim Golf Course.

The Acting Captain of the Bok Nam Kim Club, Colonel J. A. Oki commended and applauded Bank of Africa for the continuous support and urged the Bank to continue to support sports.
