Some Stakeholders including Kwahu Traditional Council, DCE for Kwahu East, Teachers, Students, Parents, Pastors and others have honored the outgoing headmaster for St Peters Senior High School Mathias Kudiabor as he retires.

An outgoing ceremony was held at the school auditorium to appreciate Mr. Mathias Kudiabor for his immense contribution towards the development of the school since he resumed office ten years ago.

His achievement according to the various stakeholders is exceptional vis-à-vis other masters who have ensured the success of St Peters.

Mr. Mathias Kudiabor is recognized as one of the best headmasters in the country when he led the school to win 2018 National Math’s and Science Quiz Competition and 3rd during the 2019 competition.

Addressing stakeholders today 11th December 2019, he said, ‘’in June 2009 I was appointed as substantive headmaster of this great school (St Peters SHS).

“In August same year, Mr David Afram the then headmaster handed over the administration to me and in October, I was inducted into office. Even though it was four (4) yr education system the total enrolment of students was less than thousand (1000) but now, the student’s population is thousand, seven hundred and three (1, 703).

He continued that, he was warmly welcomed by the board of governors chaired by Dr Edward Kwarpong and the PTA Chaired by Nana Osei Sarfo Kantanka II also did not forget to acknowledge the current PTA chairman Mr. Benjamin Ampomah.

Achievement
According to him, there has been modest achievement under his tenure as headmaster not only in academic but other sectors including construction of the school renovation of headmaster’s bungalow and another for one of the heads of department.

He said, the school won the National Maths and Science competition for the third time in 2018 saying I was so excited that day.

Moreover construction of dormitory blocks (one completed) whiles the other funded by GetFUND is about 80% complete. The Parent’s Teacher Association provided 44 ceiling fans at the dining hall when he appealed to the executives to assist them.

He expressed sadness over ‘lack of supportive’ by the parents nowadays following the Free Senior High School.

According to him, the parents say everything is free so they don’t have to do any payment.

Under his tenure, 14 jumbo size poly-tanks have been provided for harvesting rain water curtsey the PTA.

The completion of rehabilitation of the school’s kitchen block and other major achievements were outlined including four mechanize boreholes and renovation staff common rooms.

He expressed satisfactory by old students (PESCOBA) for their contributions towards the development of the school.

Speaking onbehalf of Kwahu Traditional council and KwahuHene Daasebre Akuamoah Agyapong, Kwahu Mawerehene Baffour Yeboah Asuamah told Agoo fm’s news Ebenezer Kojo Nyavor that the outgoing headmaster was a man of excellence and has steered the management of the school to a great success saying he was a really easy of address and study and firming principle.

The District Chief Executive for Kwahu East Mr. Isaac Agyapong tsaid  the headmaster was very humble and has worked so hard for the success of St Peters that deserved to be commended.

Some students and teachers who also spoke to Starr News said they will miss him so much. His support and dedication to the school, according them, was massive and for that matter, they will never forget about him.
