Defence lawyers in the case in which some 14 persons are standing trial for the death of late Major Maxwell Adams Mahama have accused Dr Lawrence Edusei, Specialist Pathologist at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital who conducted the autopsy report on the military officer of lying.

The pathologist who is the 13th Prosecution Witness in his evidence in chief earlier told the court that late Mahama died of multiple head injuries.

Lawyer Theophilus Donkor, one of the lawyers for the defence accused Dr Adusei for not conducting an independent report and therefore lying to the court.

He said Dr Adusei’s meeting with the investigator in the case to watch the video of the incident scene influenced his report.

But the pathologist in his response said the meeting was after he had put out his findings and the watching of the video subsequently did not also change his earlier findings.
