Five (5) persons in connection with the shooting incident that occurred Kpatinga in the Gushegu Municipality of the Northern Region.
The suspects, Hashim Mumanjadi, 32, a Health Assistant, Alidu Alhassan, 27, Fatawu Kpanalana, 35, Mohamadu Dokurugu, 55, Iddrisu Azindoi, 57, all farmers were picked up by the police in connection with last Friday’s shooting incident.
They were charged with conspiracy, causing damage, charm, possession of firearms in a distracting area.
According to reports, the incident was as a result of a renewed clash over a reported chieftaincy feud in the area.
Some 5 people were reported to have sustained various degrees of injuries as a result of the incident. It also left several houses burnt with people fleeing the town for safety.
