The Muncipal Chief Executive of Ayawaso West, Sandra Owusu-Ahinkorah has charged Persons Living with Disability (PWDs) in her assembly to live exemplary lives.

This according to her will serve as motivation to other PWD’s who may also be talented but lack the necessary motivation.

She said this call when she presented cash and items worth about GHC 45,000 to 26 PWD in the area on behalf of her Assembly.

The donations were part of the assemblies fund dedicated to PWD’S.

The beneficiaries included two people who received sewing machines and cash to go into sewing apprentiship.

Another beneficiary whose shop got burnt was given industrial sewing machine, kniting machine and cash to restart his business.

One person was also given an industrial sewing machine and cash to expand his business.

Some beneficiaries got drilling and plumbing tools, whilst others received deep freezers and cash either to personally go into water and soft drinks trading or for their parents to do it on their behalf.

Two other beneficiaries also got wheel chairs donated to them courtesy the Akwaaba Nippon Foundation.

The MCE expressed happiness about what the assembly has done and advised the beneficiaries to put the donations to good use to benefit them and their families.

She also called on corporate and civil soociety groups to give them opportunities when employing since most are very talented and intelligent.
