A Commercial Motorbike Rider locally call Okada has been stabbed in the rib with a knife by a robber in the Birim North District of the Eastern Region.
The Victim – Fatawu Moro, 19, is receiving treatment at the Abirem Government Hospital.
Meanwhile, the suspect, Kwame Boamah alias Kwame Ayigbe, has been arrested by the Police.
Starr News gathered that the suspect hired the victim to transport him from Komeso to Akyem Afosu.
On reaching a section of the road, the suspect requested the Victim to stop for him to attend natures call in the bush but was stabbed in the left rib with a knife immediately he stopped.
The Okada rider who was bleeding profusely lost consciousness and fell on the ground while the Suspect sped off with the brand new unregistered Haojin Motorbike and went into hiding at Akyem Kwae community.
The victim was rushed to the New Abirem Government Hospital by a good Samaritan.
The Victim reported the incident to the Police after gaining consciousness.
The Akyem Kade Police, on January 11, 2020, arrested the suspect and handed him over to the Abirim Police.
The Public Relations Officer of the Eastern Regional Police Command, DSP Ebenezer Tetteh, confirmed the incident to Starr News adding the suspect will be arraigned before the court today Monday, January 13, 2020.
