The National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi has been granted police inquiry bail after officials of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) had picked up him up in connection with an alleged cybercrime offense.
The police obtained warrants from the Court to arrest and interrogate the NDC Communicator, for his alleged involvement in forgery and attempts to spread false information to cause fear and panic in the country of kidnapping and causing unlawful damage.
After several hours of interrogation, the police have granted him bail and will report on Monday at 2 pm for further investigation.
The forgery claims, Starrfm.com.gh understands, was filed by the Secretary to the President.
