There is crisis on technical universities in the country as both administrators and lecturers there have abandoned their posts.

The senior administrators association of Ghana declared the strike Wednesday to demand payment of allowances.

It comes just two days after lecturers of the Technical universities also began a strike

Local chairperson of the administrators association at the Accra Technical University Prosper Agome told Star News that the association gave a seven-day ultimatum.

He said “we gave our intention I think 31st or so with a 7 day ultimatum. Although we were not supposed to, we gave them 7 days.”

“Today our congress met and we have declared an indefinite strike.  We have withdrawn all services, it’s not partial,” he insisted.

He added “you will recall that on Monday the teachers also withdrew their services and today we senior members’ administration we have withdrawn our services. So we leave it to authorities, to the government to make a decision but for us, we have withdrawn our services whatever happens we are not concerned about it. “
