An aspiring member of Parliament for Adansi Asokwa in the Ashanti region Samuel Binfo Darkwa has condemned the attack on a party executive by some members following the filing of his nomination.

In a statement on the attack, the Pentecost elder’s campaign team said: “Our attention was drawn to a video circulating on social media and some traditional media stations where some party members were seen heckling and attacking the Constituency Secretary, Mr Samuel Awui for refusing to sign our submitted nomination forms. We are by this statement unreservedly condemning this act”.

The statement added: “The Binfo Agenda believes in democracy and trusts the Election Committee to do justice to the processes of the election. We are therefore calling on all party members especially our supporters to keep calm and use the appropriate means in expressing their displeasure.

“The Binfoh Agenda is well focused and ready to serve the good people of Adansi Asokwa and Ghana at large. We reiterate our call on our supporters to spend their energies in selling “The Binfoh Agenda message of hope to all the delegates.
We are with the firm believe that the Delegates of Adansi Asokwa New Patriotic Party will give him the opportunity to serve them better”.
