The Atiwa West District of the Eastern Region has received some hand sanitizers, liquid soaps and veronica buckets from Osafric Ventures and Osafric Mining and Construction Company as part of efforts to deal with the spread and prevention of the novel Coronavirus.

The items were received by Isaac Asamoah, DCE of the area.

According to Osafric, it was critical to support the country to deal with the spread and prevention of the COVID-19 since the world at this stage is at a cross-road in the fight against the pandemic.

Mr. Oscar Adu Sarfo, Founder of Osafric Ventures and Osafric Mining and Construction, underscored the need to put checks and sanitization in place for people to always stick to the handwashing rules.

Mr. Sarfo said it formed part of the company’s CSR by helping in the fight against the spread of the coronavirus.

“Osafric is also asking other individuals, companies, and organizations to also to support the fight against the COVID-19,” he appealed.

Four new cases were confirmed within the general population by the Ghana Health Service on the morning of Friday, March 27, 2020.

Authorities say contact tracing has been initiated for the new cases.

The new patients have since been isolated and are receiving treatment.

One patient who was in critical condition on Thursday has reportedly been stabilized and responding to treatment. Breakdown of 141 total cases.

With the new update, the number of confirmed cases within the general population is now 62, including five deaths and two recovered patients.

The number of confirmed cases within those under mandatory quarantine remains at 79.
Meanwhile, a total of 731 contacts have been identified and are being tracked through the contact tracing process.
