Ghana Gold Expo has appointed businessman Dr. Sledge Nana Yaw Doudu as an ambassador.

The honour was conferred on the President and Chief Executive of Goldridge Ghana Limited on Sunday.

A citation accompanying the recognition read: “The Ghana Gold Expo on Committee for conversation reclamation in partnership with Aurum Monaco confers on you an ambassadorial position.

“Mr Sledge Nana Yaw Duodu to help promote zero mercury in gold production and safety environment in Ghana and across Africa”.

The generous entrepreneurial is expected to use his enormous influence to impact the sector and beyond.

The Ghana Gold Expo created a synergy among stakeholders and build proper structures in gold mining as one of the proponents of gold mining includes; the contribution to substantial economic benefits to the mining communities as well as increasing incomes and reducing poverty levels among the citizenry.

The Expo also discussed the environmental impact of both large and small scale mining with a view to abolishing the use of mercury in gold mining and providing support to small-scale and artisanal miners whose contribution to the gold industry in Ghana cannot be overlooked.
