Mobile Phone and Accessories Dealers Association (MPADA), has donated One Hundred Thousand Ghana Cedis to the Covid-19 National Trust Fund to support the mandate of the fund.

The Chairman of MPADA, Joseph Osei Yaw Agyemang, in the company of Nana Poku, GUTA Greater Accra Regional Secretary, and Kwadwo Amoateng, GUTA Greater Accra Regional Chairman, presented the cash donation of One Hundred Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHc 100,000.00), on behalf of the entire Association at a brief ceremony at the Jubilee House offices of the Covid-19 National Trust Fund.

Mr. Osei Yaw Agyemang in a brief remark before presenting the cash donation noted that the money was raised through the contributions of all members of the association to support the nation’s fight against Covid-19.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the fund, Chief Justice (Rtd) Sophia Akuffo, lead trustee of the fund, together with two other members of the board of trustees, Mrs. Gifty Afenyi-Dadzie and Archbishop Justice Ofei Akrofi, registered the appreciation of the fund and the state for the kind consideration of MPADA for the plight of the needy and vulnerable in society.

Cal Bank Limited, through its Managing Director, Philip Owiredu; Head of General Services, Yaw Barnafo and the Corporate Social Reponsibility (CSR) Event Officer, Peter Hall, presented a cheque of Two Hundred Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHc 200,000.00) to the fund.

The next group to present their donation was the Aburi Old Girls Association (AOGA). The National President, Kristine Lartey, Head of Covid-19 Fund Drive, Bianca Bentil and the Assistant National Secretary, Barbara Obempong, on behalf of the Association presented their cheque of Twenty-Two Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHc 22,000.00), to the fund.

FRIMPS Group of Companies, an oil marketing company, through their Director, Apostle Isaac K. Boateng, and their Corporate Communications Officer, Odi-Ahenkan Kwame Yeboah, presented their contribution of Two Hundred Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHc 200,000.00) to the Trust Fund.

The last group to present their donation was appointees of President Akufo-Addo in the Upper West Region. Deputy Regional Minister, Amidu Issahaku Chinnia, in the company of the Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE) for Wa Municipal Assembly, Tahiru Issahaku Moomin, Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE) for Jirapa, Christine Bonbanye-Amadu, (Representing the Regional Minister and all 11 MDCs) presented a cheque of Forty Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHc 40,000.00) to support the mandate of the fund.
