Parliament has approved the nomination of the Member of Parliament for Ledzokuku Dr. Bernard Oko-Boye as Deputy Minister for Health.

First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Joe Osei Owusu (MP), on Friday, submitted the report of the Appointment Committee which requested his approval and was approved by House.

Members on both sides of the House were unanimous in their approval of the hardworking legislator.

Dr. Okoe Boye, the 38-year-old medical practitioner was nominated by President Akufo Addo a fortnight ago.

He replaces Alexander Kodwo Kom Abban, who has been reassigned to the Communication Ministry as a Deputy Minister.

The Appointment Committee vetted him on Wednesday, after which Parliament was recalled from suspension to approve his nomination.
