Victory Bible Church International (VBCI) under the able leadership of her Presiding Bishop, Rt. Rev N. A. Tackie-Yarboi, has donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other items to the National Operations Command of the Ghana Police Service to support their activities to guarantee the safety of the citizenry as the nation battles the Covid-19 pandemic.

Three Senior Bishops of the Church, Bishop Emmanuel Ackun, Bishop Cornelius Adja Cofie and Bishop Edmund Ankomah, on behalf of the Presiding Bishop, presented the items to the Police at a brief ceremony held at the Forecourt of the National Operations Command office at the Police Headquarters.

In a brief statement before the presentation, Bishop Emmanuel Ackun, said the Police, like other institutions involved in the fight against Covid-19 are at the frontline of the country’s battle against the novel Coronavirus and ought to be supported to do same. He added that the Church is committed to supporting all efforts of the state directed at stopping the spread of Covid-19 in the Ghanaian territory.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) Sayibu Pabi Gariba, in a thank you message to the delegation from Victory Bible Church International, indicated that the National Operations Command was grateful to the Church for the consideration in their humanitarian efforts to society. The items and PPEs presented he said, would go a long way to augment the work of Police Operations during these difficult times.

Among the items and PPEs presented are four hundred (400) cartons of water totalling six thousand (6,000) bottles, fifty boxes of hand sanitizers with twenty five bottles in each box totalling one thousand, two hundred and fifty (1,250) bottles, twenty (20) boxes of face mask with fifty (50) pieces in each box totalling one thousand (1,000) face masks and six (6)boxes of gloves with one thousand pieces of gloves in each box totalling six thousand pairs of gloves.
