The decomposing body of a man believed to be in his early 30s has been found hanging on a rope tied to a tree in a nearby bush at Amaglo Korpe, a village in the Ketu North Municipality of the Volta region.

The lifeless body of the deceased was found by some tractor operators who were working on a farm on Wednesday.

Speaking to Starr News on Friday the Assemblyman for the area, Enerst Ahiable said, “the body is still hanging in the bush because the police are waiting for medical clearance before they can take any action.”

He noted that the incident has left residents in fear as they cannot tell how and when the unfortunate incident took place.

The deceased is yet to be identified while residents maintain that there has not been any reported case of a missing person in the area – thus suggesting the person might not be coming from the area.
